This post is all about flavorful low calorie snacks.

Searching for low calorie snacks that aren’t bland and actually satisfy your cravings?
Low calorie snacks don’t have to be boring. What matters is having energy to get through the day and not being so hangry you strangle someone in the process.
Are all of these snacks packed with nutrients? TBH no. Are some of them a little odd? TBH yes. But you can enjoy them throughout your day without worrying about your body goals. So let’s get into it.
Midwest Sushi
What you need:
- Honey-smoked turkey breast lunch meat (I always use the Oscar Mayer brand.)
- Whipped cream cheese
- Spear pickles
Place a small dab of whipped cream cheese on a piece of turkey breast and roll the pickle up in that bad-boy. Voilà.
This is one of my favorite high protein low calorie snacks. Salty, crunchy, rich goodness, rolled up in lean protein, what can be better than that?
Homemade Ice Pops
What you need:
- Sprite Zero
- Mini gummy bears
- Lemon juice
- Ice pop molds
Drop some gummy bears in the mold, pour the Sprite Zero over it, and let it freeze. This is an extremely low calorie sweet treat that will keep your mouth busy if you are not super hungry, but want a pick-me-up.
Sweet Skinny Pop
What you need:
- Microwave Skinny Pop
- Dark-chocolate chips
Popcorn and candy, tried and true. This is a great one if you’re experiencing cravings and need something quick and non-diety.
Pickle Dip
What you need:
- Dill pickles
- Low-fat cottage cheese
- Ranch seasoning
- Garlic
- Fresh dill
- Carrot chips or Sea Salt Popcorners
Blend your cottage cheese, ranch seasoning, garlic, and pickle juice. Once the mixture is smooth, plop it in a bowl and toss in fresh dill and pickle chunks. I usually opt for carrot chips or Sea Salt Popcorners for dip receptacles. Boom! You can tuck this away in your high protein low calorie snacks for on the go.
Shrimp Cocktail
What you need:
- Shrimp
- Cocktail sauce
Another one of the best high protein low calorie snacks. You can buy pre-packaged ones from the store and it is so convenient.
Crackers and Creamy Cheese
What you need:
- Rice cracker (I can’t find the ones the snack queen Bethenny Frankel uses, so I buy the Wasa brand or cut a rice cake in half.)
- Garlic and Herb Laughing Cow Cheese
- Top it with whatever you fancy
I like Laughing Cow cheese so much that I don’t top this with anything. However, I can understand why that would be boring, so go crazy.
Berries and Cream
What you need:
- Fruit of your choice (I buy giant bags of organic frozen blueberries and thaw them overnight.)
- Top with whipped cream
I can’t say this one without thinking about the little lad… if you are chronically online you know what I am talking about. Anywho, this is a great satisfying sweet treat you can easily take on the go.
Cottage Cheese and Crackers
What you need:
- Bread and butter pickles
- Crackers (I love Crunchmaster Multi-Grain sea salt crackers.)
- Low-fat cottage cheese
Don’t knock it until you try it.
Grape Sorbet
What you need:
- Cotton Candy Grapes
- Lemon juice
If you are craving a sweet in the evening this is an awesome option. All you have to do is freeze your grapes, toss them in a food processor with some lemon juice, and you get his awesome sorbet. This is one of the sweet, healthy low calorie snacks that everyone will love.
Frozen Yogurt and Graham Cracker Sandwich
- Greek Yogurt (I use Strawberry Cheesecake Light and Fit Greek Yogurt)
- Graham crackers
Spread the yogurt on your graham crackers and place it in the freezer. This is a great “ice cream sandwich” alternative if you are looking for low calorie sweet snacks.
